While abroad I've found a lot of things that I really love and have decided I'll miss a lot when I come home. Most of them are food. Here are some examples...
-Merenda... It's like Nutella but it's less expensive and 18 million times yummier.
-Digestives... sounds gross right? But they're little graham cracker-like cookies and they're awesome.
-Moussaka... It's a traditional Greek dish. Sort of a lasagna-like deal... but different and so so yummy! (luckily, I have a recipe!)
-Muesli... Although I hate the way the word sounds, it's sugarless granola with all sorts of surprises thrown in... raisins, banana chips, random corn flakes... it microwaves like oatmeal or you can mix it into yogurt.
-GREEK YOGURT... with honey (it's the trick to it being delicious) and it's so inexpensive here!
-Greek Salads- cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, onions incredible feta, oregano, olive oil, salt, pepper... no lettuce necessary.
HOWEVER... there are certainly things that I miss that I never expected I would. One hole in our lives (as Messiah students) was Sunday lunches. For those of you who don't know, every week at Messiah in Lottie Nelson Dining Hall for Sunday lunch we are served chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes and usually some sort of mixed vegetable. SO that's what we made for lunch last weekend. It was AWESOME and so fun to eat together with other Messiah Students after listening to a Steven Furtick sermon podcast. Here are some of the yummy pictures!
